FLEXR is a dating app for people who care about training and the gym. You find matches by your gym and your radius — all across Austria.

For everyone 18 and over who takes training seriously and wants to meet someone with a similar lifestyle. The common ground is not a body, it is that you both know why somebody gets up at six or is at the gym on a Friday evening instead of in a bar.

No. Strength training, functional fitness, endurance, martial arts, climbing — all of it counts. It is about the lifestyle, not about a particular level, a particular weight or a particular look.

Using it costs nothing — permanently. Browsing profiles, liking, matching and messaging are and remain free, after the beta too. Optionally, FLEXR Premium arrives after the beta at 10 € per month: unlimited likes, unlimited conversations, see who liked you, undo your last swipe, the full search radius up to 250 km and a Premium badge. Without Premium, 20 likes per day, 3 conversations at once and a 50 km search radius apply; during the beta even those limits do not apply yet. No minimum term, no set-up fee, no in-app purchases, no hidden costs.

No. No payment method is requested or stored at sign-up. A free account therefore cannot turn into a subscription at all. FLEXR Premium only comes about through an express order — there is nothing you need to cancel and no deadline you can miss.

You cancel FLEXR Premium in the account area under “Manage / cancel subscription”, at any time and without a notice period. The Premium features stay active until the end of the billing period you have already paid for; after that your account continues as a free account. For the free account itself there is nothing to cancel.

You choose your gym and your search radius. FLEXR shows you matching profiles from gyms within that radius. If two people like each other, a match is created and you can message each other in the chat. Before that, nobody can message you.

No. If your gym is missing, submit it with its address and use it for your profile right away. Once reviewed it appears in the list for everyone.

No. Neither the browser nor the app asks for a device location. The radius search works solely with the public address of the gym you select yourself and the radius you set. Details are in the privacy policy.

Yes — every Austrian postal code works, from Vienna through Graz, Linz and Salzburg to Innsbruck and Klagenfurt. How many profiles you see depends on how many people are on board within your radius; there are more in urban areas than in the countryside. A larger radius means more profiles, but longer journeys.

Before your account is activated you confirm your email address, take a selfie live with the camera and upload an image of an official photo ID. A person compares profile picture, selfie and ID photo and checks the date of birth. No automated facial recognition, no text recognition, no external service provider. The images are deleted after the check. Only then is your account activated — the time the check takes costs you nothing, and using the app is free anyway.

We do a fair amount: minimum age 18 with a manual check, every photo approved by a human before publication, profile texts containing links or phone numbers rejected, links and email addresses automatically removed from chat messages, and a reporting and blocking function. Even so, nobody can guarantee that every profile is genuine — a visual check makes deception harder, it does not rule it out. Please read our safety tips before meeting anyone.

Via the flag icon in every profile and every chat. Blocking takes effect immediately and both ways: the match disappears, messages are no longer possible, and you no longer see each other in the deck. Reporting gives you a reference number; we review within 72 hours — immediately where a person is at risk — and you see the outcome under “My reports” in the account area. Without an account, use the public reporting form.

Not end-to-end. Messages are stored in our database in readable form — otherwise reports could not be reviewed and protection against scams could not be implemented. So don’t write anything you would not also show a moderator. The transmission itself always runs encrypted over HTTPS.

In the account area under “Delete account”, confirmed with your password. The account is deactivated immediately and is invisible to others; after a 30-day grace period the data is deleted. ID captures and verification selfies are deleted immediately and do not wait for the grace period. Details are in the privacy policy.
