Notice and action procedure under Art. 16 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (DSA)
Last updated: 19 August 2026
This is a translation provided for convenience. The German version is the legally binding one; if the two differ, the German wording prevails. Reports may be submitted in German or English.
If someone is in immediate danger, call the emergency services first
If a person is in immediate danger, call 133 (police) or 112 (European emergency number). This form is not a substitute for a criminal complaint and is not monitored around the clock.
Who can report
Any person and any entity — you do not need an account. If you are signed in, it is quicker via the flag icon directly in the profile or the chat; you then see the outcome under “My reports” in the account area. This form is the formal route and is open to everyone, for example if your photos are being used here without your knowledge.
What happens next
- Reference number and acknowledgement of receipt. A reference number is displayed immediately and, provided you gave an address, a confirmation is sent by email.
- Review by a human. As a rule within 72 hours. Where a person is at risk, where minors are involved or where the report concerns abuse material: with priority, at the latest within 24 hours.
- Reasoned decision. You will be told whether we took action and why — not merely “reviewed”. We also tell you whether automated means were involved in the detection.
- Objection. If you disagree with the decision, an informal reply quoting the reference number is enough. We review the matter again and respond with reasons. This does not affect your right to take legal action.
Reporting form
Fields marked are mandatory. The more precisely you identify the content, the more likely it is that we can do something — “a profile insulted me” cannot be reviewed without a name and a time.
Report received
Your reference number:
Please note it down. For questions or an objection, an informal email to flexr.social@proton.me quoting this reference number is enough.
Abusive reports
Every report is reviewed promptly, diligently, objectively and without arbitrariness, irrespective of earlier reports. A knowingly false report may have legal consequences.
Authorities
Official requests for information, preservation and emergency disclosure do not go through this form but through the procedure set out in the law enforcement guidelines.
